Liz Carmouche (23-8) vs. Elora Dana (8-0)

At 41 years old, Liz Carmouche is still a bona fide stud. The San Diego native fell short of the championship last season after Talia Santos snapped her nine-fight win streak, but the Bellator flyweight world champion has returned to her winning ways. Carmouche battered Ilara Joanne in the quarterfinals and would love to be the first fighter to put a blot on Elora Dana’s record. Dana turned pro in 2022 and climbs to new heights in every fight. After winning the Mega FC flyweight title, she claimed the Jungle Fight strap and cemented herself as one of the best prospects out of Brazil. Dana announced her arrival on the world stage last April with a first-round neck crank on Diana Avsaragova. Now at 8-0, she faces one of the most battle-tested flyweights in MMA history.

Carmouche can win a fight in any fashion, but she’s at her best when she’s flowing off her wrestling. She pushes the pace and thrives at pinning her opponents against the fence. When Carmouche shoots, she thrives and finishes takedowns and dominates from top control, where she can drop elbows and set up submission attempts. Dana’s best quality in this fight is that there isn’t a ton of tape on her. Carmouche has spent the better part of her career reshuffling through old opponents. Dana needs to keep the fight moving and pin Carmouche on the end of her combinations. Shutting down the Girl-Rilla’s wrestling is the number one priority, but it isn’t likely that the inexperienced Dana will be able to pull it off.
